How I got here
I'm Gina, a Charlotte-based photographer and videographer creating photo and video work for brands, events, lifestyle sessions, families, portraits, weddings, and couples in Charlotte, North Carolina, and beyond.
Before I picked up a camera professionally, I was already in the creative space, managing social media, telling stories online, and paying attention to the way people connect.
Years ago, a filmmaker documented our engagement and wedding, and watching that film back changed the way I saw memories. It felt alive. The movement, the feeling, the small moments we would have forgotten. All of it made me realize that the way something is documented can completely change how you remember it. I was so moved by that work that I eventually bought his camera equipment and started learning photography and videography myself.
That experience shaped the way I work now. Whether I'm photographing a brand campaign, documenting an event, creating content, capturing a lifestyle session, photographing families, taking portraits, or filming a wedding, I'm always looking for the same thing: real connection, personality, emotion, energy, and the honest moments happening in between.
My work is documentary-style at heart. I care more about what feels true than what looks perfectly posed. The laughter, the glances, the movement, the little details people don't always notice in the moment, that's what I'm there for.
My style is cinematic, grounded, and intentional, but still real. I take the work personally because the people in front of my lens matter.

I'm Dominican. I grew up between two languages, two cultures, and a whole lot of family — the loud kind, the loving kind, the kind that shows up with food whether you asked or not. That shaped how I see people. ¡Hablamos español!
I'm a mom of three. Which means I know exactly how fast it all goes — the gap teeth, the sticky hands, the way they stop fitting on your hip one day and you don't even notice when. I never forget that when I'm behind the camera.
I'm a twin. My sister is my person. Growing up with someone who has known you since before you had words teaches you what it means to be truly seen — and that's what I try to give every person in front of my lens.
I've been married for eleven years. My husband is my favorite human, my built-in hype man, and the reason I believe in documenting love the way I do. If I'm shooting your wedding, couple session, family session, brand, or event, know that I take it personally.
I've been in Charlotte for 16 years. I know the light at Freedom Park in the late afternoon, the back roads around Lake Norman, the South End spots tourists never find. If you're not sure where to shoot, trust me — I've got you.
I bring the fun without being the loudest one in the room. I'm the person laughing with your mom, making your toddler feel safe, and quietly catching the moment you didn't know was happening. That's kind of my thing.
